About Us
Silverstar Maintenance Services Limited is a member of the Command Aviation Group of companies which were founded in June 2006 with the formation of Aircraft Grouping Limited. This company runs many successful aircraft groups at various bases within the UK.
In February 2007 Aircraft Grouping established a base at Blackpool airport and opened it's flying school known as Flight Academy Blackpool Limited. The registered offices of all companies moved to Blackpool at this time. The school has become the busiest at Blackpool airport and operates a clean, modern and well equipped fleet of single and multi engine aircraft for training at all levels from PPL to commercial.
In January 2008 with the number of aircraft which we know operated it became obvious that we would need to establish our own maintenance facility and also find better accommodation for our flying school and aircraft groups which were being operated from portable cabins.
We began negotiations in April 2008 and subsequently purchased the maintenance business of Silverstar Aviation Ltd and formed our operating company for that business, Silverstar Maintenance Services Limited.
The unique nature in which our businesses compliment each other and our unique business models for each has enabled us to establish a good reputation within the industry for providing a friendly, professional and cost effective service.
We aim to continue this with our maintenance facility using our experience as an operator of many aircraft to understand things from the customers point of view.
